Stephanie Beatriz Bischoff Alvizuri (born February 10, 1981 in Neuquén, Argentina) is an Argentine-American actress who is known for her role as Jessica in the independent drama film Short Term 12.

She portrayed Rosa Diaz on Brooklyn Nine-Nine. She directed the episode He Said, She Said in the show's Season Six.

She is an influential actress who has brought her own experiences with her bisexuality to the show. In Season 5, Episode 10 "Game Night," Rosa Diaz comes out as bisexual to her parents and her precinct.

Personal Life[]

Beatriz moved to the United States when she was three, along with her parents and younger sister, and grew up in Webster, Texas. There, she attended Clear Brook High School and later Stephens College, which she graduated from in 2002, at which time she moved to New York City. Later, she moved to Los Angeles, where she currently lives.
