Season Four[]
In Crime & Punishment, Sam is defending Jake and Rosa in court since they were being framed for bank robbery by Melanie Hawkins. Although Sam was very confident, the evidence pointed to them being guilty, so they ended up getting an extra day to review the new evidence. They ended up getting Matthew Langdon, a former NYPD detective and member of Melanie Hawkins' squad to testify, but it turns out that he was still working for her, and he lied on the trial, testifying against them, and after consideration, the Judge deemed them guilty.
