Sal's Pizza was one of the famous pizzerias in Brooklyn, until it was burnt down by a competitor of its owner, Sal. The arson was investigated by the 99th Precinct.

In the Season One episode Sal's Pizza, Jake Peralta and Charles Boyle go to Sal's to investigate the arson of the pizza restaurant, Sal's Pizza. They were stopped by Fire Marshal Boone, who believed it was firefighter jurisdiction.
Jake has a rose-colored view of Sal's Pizza thanks to his childhood daddy issues and believes that it has the best pizza in Brooklyn thanks to its special sauce recipe. When they solve the crime it is largely in part thanks to Charle's Boyle's pizza tasting and Jake's fascination with the sauce.
