Martha is a woman who lived in the same building as the murder victim, Fred Gorman.

In the Season One episode, The Vulture, Martha meets Jake Peralta and Charles Boyle as they are going door to door asking if anyone has any information on a murder in her apartment building. When they knock on her door she answers with a crying baby that she hands to Jake Peralta. Her dog runs out the door while she tends to her lasagna that's burning and Charles catches it while Jake holds the crying baby.
