Lin-Manuel Miranda is an American composer, lyricist, playwright, singer, and actor. He portrayed David Santiago, brother to Amy Santiago, in Brooklyn Nine-Nine. He was one of the avid celebrity fans who voiced his love and concern for the show[1], after its cancellation by FOX.

He is known for creating and starring in Broadway musicals In the Heights and Hamilton. In 2018, he was both honored with a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame and presented with a special Kennedy Center Honors award, for his work in the latter hit musical. He returned to his original lead role as Alexander Hamilton for 3 weeks while it played in Puerto Rico.

Besides performing in musicals, he also has participated in movies too. He wrote songs for the Moana and Encanto soundtracks and acted in Mary Poppins Returns.
