In the Season Five episode, The Negotiation, an ambulance is called for Norm Scully who was delivering takeout. Lerma was the technician who responded to the call. When he couldn't find Scully's pulse he assumed he was dead and did what he was supposed to do when removing a body from a crime scene, put a sheet over his head. The negotiator, Dennis Kole, suspected he was sneaking the criminal Doug Judy out of the scene.
