Throughout The Series[]
In the Season Seven episode Captain Kim, Julie Kim introduces Terry Jeffords to John knowing that Terry would be interested because of his twins who are in second grade. Throughout the episode Terry butters up John by inflating his children's intelligence and parroting the qualities John is telling him the school looks for in parents. An ex-convict who Terry arrested and testified against undermines all of this as he is catering at the event and John is either unaware or has no problem pointing out Terry's lies.
