Plot

Jake Peralta asks Charles Boyle if he'd come to the Briefing Room because he has a question to ask him. Charles excitedly goes to Rosa Diaz and Terry Jeffords to tell them that Jake is finally asking him to be his Best Man. When he goes into the briefing room he finds Jake sitting alone at a table. Jake begins to ask him the question "Will you..." which Charles interrupts with an emphatic yes before hearing the end of. Jake proceeds to finish the question with "cover my shift this weekend so I can meet Darryl Strawberry at a cell phone store opening?" Boyle, heartbroken holds fast with his yes, assuring Jake he really did mean it as he leaves the briefing room.

When the doors open confetti flies and music starts playing as the rest of the squad is gathered with balloons and signs that read Best Man? A delighted Charles exclaims, Yes! Yes! A million times yes! and slams Terry, who he was worried Jake was going to ask instead of him.
