Gary is the partner of Raymond Holt's sister, Debbie. He is considered an unseen character as he is only mentioned and never seen throughout the Brooklyn Nine-Nine television series.

In the Season Three episode, The Cruise, Debbie comes to visit Raymond Holt and plans to stay for the duration of 6 weeks. When Holt guilts her into leaving she reveals that the reason she even came in the first place was because Gary was cheating on her and had left her.
