Jake Peralta and Gina Linetti are former colleagues and friends who have been friends since childhood. Jake is the reason that Gina got the job at the 99th Precinct. They are shown to be close and help each other out when the other is in need, such as when Jake needs Gina to help him keep his Nana's flat.

- Jake suggests that Gina leaves the Nine-Nine, as he felt her talents were being wasted there.
Four Movements[]
Jake and Gina sneak into a high-society club in an attempt to invite Mario Lopez to Gina's going-away party.
- Gina invites Jake and Terry to her new place, Gina also invites them to Shaw's Bar for drinks, but blows them off. - Jake is concerned when she is stabbed, staying by her side on the streets and hospital.
