Deputy Thom is a Sheriff's Deputy in Coral Palms, Florida. He works at the Coral Palms police station.

Deputy Thom is one of two Sheriff's deputies that were guarding the jail located within the Coral Palms police station when Jake Peralta and Raymond Holt were being held there after being arrested for the large amount of guns and buckets of bullets they had.
He was distracted by a coffee pot that burst, which was actually broken by a glass eye from a prisoner Jake had thrown. When he went to get a mop to clean up the mess, Jake and Holt were able to attract the attention of the Sheriff and escape.
