In the Season One episode, The Bet, Deputy Chief Gerber is seen at the NYPD awards ceremony where Charles Boyle and Peanut Butter are awarded the Medal of Valor. He is at the celebration later that evening at Shaw's Bar and congratulates Boyle. Charles replies by telling him he has very bad breath.
