Carol Kolb is a well-known and successful American comedy writer.

At the very least, I think comedy can help misfits cope. It's not for everyone, so it becomes a place for someone to fit in, either as a consumer or a maker of comedy.

―Carol Kolb

Prior to Brooklyn Nine-Nine[]

While studying at the University of Wisconsin, Kolb founded the Museum of Bathroom Tissue which caught the eye of another Wisconsin student who was beginning the satirical newspaper, The Onion.
