She is one of the few LGBTQIA+ actors to portray an LGTQIA+ character in the Brooklyn Nine-Nine television series.
She has repeatedly appeared on shows in networks such as CBS, NBC, Comedy Central, E!, TBS, IFC, and the Cartoon Network. She is known for heavily covering the topics of the LGBTQ+ community. Esposito is the host of Ask a Lesbian, has appeared in Take My Wife, and lent her voice on We Bare Bears.
